Getting involved

Volunteering in the Wyre Forest opens up a host of new opportunities! Whether it be meeting new people, gaining skills or learning more about what makes the forest a great place to visit, live, work and play.

One of our partners, the Wyre Community Land Trust are always looking for new volunteers to come and join in!

The volunteer work parties meet at 10am on Wednesdays and Thursdays and get involved in a wide range of activities.

These include: planting new orchards of traditional local varieties and making tree guards to protect them; putting up new fences and gates around valuable wildflower meadows so that they can be grazed by cattle and sheep; learning how to look after cattle and pigs; scrub clearing and brash burning; chances to help out at countryside shows and many more things!
