Bewdley now has a new hub for the town in the shape of the newly refurbished St. George's hall.

The improvements on the hall on Load Street cost £800,000. It now has a community cafe, more meeting rooms, new toilet facilities and easy access for everyone. The first major event to be held there will be Bewdley's annual Beer Festival which starts on 22nd August. It is hoped the festival will be even more popular than ever this year with people eager to see how the building has changed.

The cafe is being run by volunteers and will be open six days a week. It's hoped that more people will volunteer to help out with this, so if you're interested contact Jennie Paddock on 07711 118 399 or 01299 402404 (home.) The new cafe is shown below.
