Walking your dog is a great way to exercise, explore the outdoors and enjoy one of many our woods and forests. With miles of paths to explore, there’s no need to leave your four-legged friend at home next time you’re planning a family day out or a holiday.
Just to make things easier, we’ve sniffed out some useful dog health tips, some great events for you and your furry friend, and found some great dog-friendly places to eat and stay nearby as well.
WANTED - We need your DOG!
Does your pooch behave brilliantly and love walks in the forest? If you think your dog has what it takes to be the star of our Paws Outdoors campaign, send us a picture of your dog plus 20 words describing why they would be great.
Take the walk your dog week challenge
We’re launching national Walk Your Dog Week (Monday 28 April – Monday 5 May), as part of our other doggie events. To hear about upcoming activities for dogs sign up to our mailing list and click the 'Dogs' tick box.
Cool stops for hot dogs
Break up long motorway journeys and give your pooch (and your family) a green breather with our cool spots for hot dogs. A walk in the cool shade under the trees will cool your dog down before the next leg of your journey.
