For the 15th year running Bewdley is hosting its annual beer festival. This year will be extra special as it is being held in the newly refurbished St. George's Hall.
So whether it's a local cherry beer to tickle your taste-buds or a Trink from Penzance that takes your fancy, come along and enjoy the variety! There are over 40 ales and 16 ciders to choose from! There will also be live bands to add to the atmosphere. They will be performing from Thursday night through to Saturday night so you can really chill out and even have a dance! The bands you can see are Thursday night - TBA, Friday night - John Townley, Saturday night - Strumpit: Gypsy Jazz
Anne Wilkins who is one of the organisers said "I'm expecting this Bewdley Beer Festival to be bigger than normal because I am hoping people will want to come and see what fantastic renovation the hall has undergone."
The refurbishment cost £800,000 and now means the hall on Load Street has a cafe and is a modern place for meetings and events. It is now the real hub of the town.
The beer festival starts tonight from 6pm-11pm and will continue tomorrow and over the weekend from 11am-11pm on Friday and Saturday, then from noon on Sunday until all the beer has been drunk!
Admission is £6 which includes a commemorative glass for you to keep!
